Matt Munisteri & Brock Mumford

"A present day ironist with a pre-war heart (First World War that is)...Matt Munisteri leads the delightful, lightly swinging chamber jazz quintet Brock Mumford. Munisteri's own time-warped tunes sit perfectly alongside vintage works by Willard Robison, Hoagy Carmichael, and even...Bob Dylan." -- The New Yorker

David Krakauer & Klezmer Madness

"Clarinetist and composer David Krakauer's Klezmer Madness band gets in touch with both Eastern European Jewish roots and the New York downtown/dance scene. Basically, the sliding clarinet and joyous accordion typical of the klezmer music of 100 years ago is blended with guitar distortions, rock drumming, and a free jazz attitude to create a hybrid style that spans geography as well as time." -- New Music Box (newmusicbox.org)
